Blown Chip?

I've been pushing almost 2v through a 2800 Barton for awhile now, running it at 2500MHz on an NF7-S Rev.2 and keeping the temps below ~45C with an H20 setup. Last night, apropo of nothing (OK, apropo of some CS:Source) my entire system just shut down entirely -- no disks, no fans, no displays, no nothing -- and started emitting a sound that was something like an old-fashioned ambulance, two repeating tones. The only way to stop the sound was to cut the PSU. Turning the PSU back on works fine, but hitting the power switch has no effect other than to trigger that ambulane tone again.

Other than clearing CMOS and trying again, do I have any options here? Any reason to think or not think that my comp is screwed? And if it is screwed, is there any way to weed out any components that might have been fried in the process?

Yeah, I knew I was pushing it, but the thought process was something like: "What if it dies? Then I'll have to buy a new A64 rig. Horrors!"

Of course, it died at a time when I'm way too busy to start a new build....
