I am building a new system and wondered if I need to go ahead and put a blowhole in my new case (link below)

1) I plan on having 1 or 2 front fans and 2 rear fans.
2) Dont think my case with come with a side fan (but I've heard some are actually shipping precut for side fans)

I do plan on overclocking my XP2100 rev AIUHB week 48 as much as possible

3) If the consensus is that I should put one in what size do most people select? (80mm, 92mm or 120mm) I was thinking about a 120mm.

thanks for any feedback

I've read that top blowholes can actually hurt airflow more than help it, as it tends to disrupt the front to back airflow. (disclaimer ;): My case came with a top blowhole and pre-installed fan, but I really really liked the case and could not find it without the blow hole). I don't OC and my temps are okay, not great but okay. I may just close up the blowhole or unplug the fan based on what I've read, and what I've read makes sense to me since this sudden chimmney or air seems to disrupt the natural flow over my CPU.

Just my two cents, of course based on other people's two cents. So I guess that makes it four... ;)

I have a Chieftec DX-01DB which is essentially the same case. I got the one with the extra intake fan in the case window. With two intake fans in the lower front and two exhaust fans in the upper rear I can't imagine the need for another blowhole. Even with all the fans going full speed the noise level is surprisingly quiet. (I also have an 80mm fan on my 2100+.)

The case is obviously well made. I'd be concerned that putting another blowhole in the case would adversely affect the case's sound dampening capabilities.

I wouldn't be worried about the blowhole increasing temp levels, but its not guarantee that it will actually help. If you do decide to put in a blowhole, definately make it a 120. Quieter, and it should blow the most air. I put a 120mm blowhole in my lian-li pc-65 and it brought my case temp down 4 degrees to basically room temp.
