I dunno, I think it'll be a lot like the BF2 release. I know a LOT of people kind of did a double take the first time they saw it running on a decent box back in '05. The community was pretty big for a long time, still is really. It's not huge but it's very well played.

It could go the route of BC2, but I don't really think so. It's got everything it needs to be a huge hit as far as I can tell (obviously I have no idea on the actual gameplay).

Pros :

Obviously far superior graphics to COD/BC2/etc, looks like a new level of quality.
Lots and lots of vehicles, including Jets once again.
HUGE maps
64 player support, this is basically unheard of on AAA titles these days
Incredibly good sound and overall production values

Cons :

It's gonna overwhelm n00bs that can only run around tiny little box games like BLOPS
Hardware requirements are steeper than COD, and I can imagine 64-player maps are gonna punish anything but the higher-level PCs/internet connections
It's not out yet 😀
