$284 for Nehalem quad, that's cheaper than the current Q9450 and later on the Q9550. I am surprised that Intel is giving such a bargain on Nehalem (and also to announce it so publically). you'd think Intel would spin on the hype and get some premium pricing on the Nehalem at least initially. Perhaps there's some serious cost savings on the Nehalem vs. Core2 type CPU.

I'm still on the fence about whether I should buy a wolfdale and hold out for Westmere or just stick with my E6600 and pick up a later revision of Neha or wait for Westmere.

Its what I've just done too. Who needs textbooks? You can get them online anyway............

I don't see any reason to upgrade an E6600 currently when Nehalem should be available within a year.
