Uh, if your stool has blood in it, it's time for a colonoscopy. NOW. I'm not joking, bloody stool is one of the signs of colon cancer, among other things.

If it's from something you did, there is definitely a chance of infection...If its from something you have, an infection would not be your prime concern as much as finding out what it is. You might just have a hemorrhoid or something.
