Blood donation: is it time to end the ban on homosexuals?

The numbers I saw said ~4% were gay or bi-sexual.

In San Francisco? Sure. In the whole world? Bullshit!

Not the whole world, the US. Some locales in the US will have higher percentages, some will have lower. The grand total, though, is undoubtedly higher than the total number who self-identify as homosexual/bisexual (2% or 4%.. whatever the published data indicates).

We're also talking those who have homosexual sex... not just those who are in homosexual relationships.

This is the kind of question that should be left to medical scientists. Either it they have affordable reliable screening or they don't, right?
