IIRC blue eyes is a recessive gene, but my sister and I both got blue eyes. Both my parents have brown eyes.
 
See.. natural selection at work! Funny.. I started out as a blonde when I was a kid, but became darker as I got older.. so I must be.. evolving?

both my parents have brown eyes, and brown hair.

however everyone in my family was a blonde when younger, my bro had blonde until about 2 years old, im the ONLY blonde in the family any more, but i look identical to my dad.

Kind of ominous that scientists in Germany are studying this..

anyway, its a stupid conclusion which is not going to happen.

and young children frequently have lighter colored hair, that becomes darker and therefore are not actually blonde.

my mom was blonde until about 14...

im 19 and still completely blonde.
 
I don't know about this, I think our species is currently selecting for that gene.
Anyway, even if it goes away the bottle blond will live on.
