Blonde Actress from late 80's / 90's ... suspense/mystery movie?

There was an actress maybe late 30's/40's from the 80-90s that played in some leading roles where she was a victim and fought back. She didn't wear a lot of makeup but had a sexy natural look.

I believe she had brown eyes as well. Maybe 5'7"ish.
