For my one fan on these forums (you know who you are,) here's the latest in a series I entitle, Perknose's Progress.
Yesterday, I was hanging at my buddy Durwood's celebrating our mutual friend Moose's birthday. She's 79. And, a woman.
She used to ride a motorcycle. She still goes to the Rainbow gathering almost every year. Almost three years ago now, she got it in her head to defy the oncoming Winter by seeing how long she could stand going swimming in a deep stream just north of me.
She convinced me to join her. The very worst day, it was mid 40 degree weather, overcast and windy, and the water temp was 48 degrees. On all of these days, it's likely neither one of us would have gone in alone. But together, we made one willing idiot!
Thursday, Oct. 29th, 2015. Wednesday, Nov.11th.
Anyway, we were sitting out on Durwood's side porch, when a faint but auspicious sign appeared in the sky.
It was a happy day!
