Blog: Movable Type or WordPress

I am putting a portfolio-ish type website for myself. I would like to put a blog this new site.

I'm torn between using Movable Type and WordPress.

Which one would you recommend? What are the pros and cons of each?

I've used both. They're pretty similar, really. I actually kind of like MTs control panel a bit better, but it's not a huge difference.

MT uses Perl, and Wordpress uses PHP if that matters
