I have to setup some blocking software on someones computer. I tried netnanny, cyberpatrol, and cybersitter. All those programs suck. I tried to see if it works. It lets me go to tons of porn sites. Does anyone know a good program that actually works?

At Gateway the IT peepz use WebSense to keep us support monkeys from getting on the web very much at all ... they can lock down just about anything, and there's no way around it.

I have been very frustrated in that weblogs like linuxkitty.com are filtered out because they contain a single "infraction" word. oh well.

No, there's no way you can do it :<

Porn sites are dynamic; they *want* lots of people to access their site and they stick and move so that it happens

There is always a way,one is you have to be friends with the right I/T People. Other ways involve being their enemy. Any way risks loosing your job...

you can try popup killer. that works based on page titles, so you can block out anything with the word "sex" or stuff like that in the title.

Try PaxWay internet. I'm too lazy to find you the site. What they do is have actual people find out what sites you go to and if it's porn they block the site. That way you have a real filter.

Edit: You sometimes see thier commercials on tv. They are an actual internet provider that charges about $20 a month.
