Blocking site access

Hey guys...
I need to block a bunch of websites on a small office network... can't do it at the router level, and I think blocking it from a hosts file would be a pain in the ass... I could probably set up a script that would download a new hosts file every night from a server and replace it on all the machines and update it that way, but I'm thinking there needs to be an easier way...

What about placing a proxy server on the network, and routing all data through that? Would I be able to do what I need there? Any suggestions for a Proxy that will work on a Win32 system?

I could set this up on Linux but I know nothing about it, and don't have the time to set it up... I need to impliment this fast... Also - I need a system that I can remote into easilly and fix... I'm not going to have access to the box after it's deployed (going 1/2 way across the world) so... Windows would be best...

Any help at all would be appreciated... Thanks!
