Is there any way that I can unblock certain or all file attachment file types within Microsoft Outlook (XP)

It really is starting to get on my nerves especially from people I know.

If no one has a better solution, Norton Antivirus scans attachments as they arrive and deletes any infected ones, so it would be reasonably safe to allow all attachments if you run NAV.

I've also switched to Eudora since it allows you to use a built-in limited preview window with no script support instead of Outlook's IE window. No more self-starting worm code :)

Just edit the registry you can copy and paste the following into Notepad and save it as a txt file then just rename it to a .reg file and doubleclick and it will do the import for you. That will allow .exe, .com, etc, you can modify the list how you see fit.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Outlook\Security]
"Level1Remove"=".exe;.com;.reg;.doc;.xls;.ppt"
