I can't speak company wide, but as for games, it never really has been a moneymaker at our store. People either don't bring them back, or keep them forever. Hard to make a profit on an item that's not generating a lot of turns.

Makes sense. I haven't seen Dead Rising in stock at the Blockbuster I frequent at all since it was released. :)

Yep, same at my store. People pay the 8 bucks or so, then keep the game out for 30 days. People get pissed off and decide to either buy/rent the game somewhere else. Hell that's the reason I use gameznflix :p

It starts tomorrow

I already used it yesterday... (aka.. the day of your post)

They probably decided to do it anyways. I took one in for a customer yesterday just to get an idea how it works myself. Pretty pain free.

I'm still under the old Blockbuster Online plan where I get two in-store coupons per month for movies OR games. I'm willing to deal with the hassle of not always having the game I want in stock for free rentals. :) I only keep them for 12 days though (5 day rental + 7 days until the charge your credit card for keeping it late).
