whichever one delivers dvds to your door faster is the better service. Depends on how close you are to a distribution center.

I don't like either. I use the rewards program at BB. I don't like not being able to pick out the EXACT movie I want to watch THAT night. Sometimes I am just not in the mood for certain types of movies. They also have an unlimited rentals program now too I think. I would consider either of these if its possible

I'm using BB right now. It's pretty decent. 3 rentals at a time for $14.99. They must have some sort of tracking on the movies, because as soon as I mail one back I get another one within a day or two.

Plus you get two coupons a month for in-store rentals. Good for those times you want a specific movie "right now"

I used Netfix, but that was a few years ago so I can't really compare the two.

Netflix has my loyalty for good service in the past (I don't have any DVD service ATM).

I'm using Blockbuster. However, if it wasn't for the 2 free in store rentals a month that I use on videogames, I'd probably be w/ netflix.

netflix = delivery in two days. i drop a disc in the mail on monday, get the next one on wednesday (or thursday).

blockbuster = so far, delivery is taking 4-6 days. i drop a disc in the mail on monday, and i don't see the next until friday or saturday.

the in-store coupons are nice, though...

Tried both and by far Netflix is the better of the two. BB and Netflix both shipped out of Philadelphia and I live in PA. Netflix has the DVD to my door within two days of sending it, and when I send it back, the same thing. BB took 3-4 days, even though it shipped out of the same city. Also, in my queue at any given time almost all my movies are available. With BB, all but 3 out of 40 were at least on a short wait with most on a long wait. Also, BB had my movies constantly switch from short wait to long wait and back again with never being listed as available. No these were not new movies either. I have around 70 movies in my queue at Netflix and all are available now, I can not say the same thing about BB. Also, if you like TV on DVD, good luck with BB as these were most of them on the long wait. With Netflix they were always available. The only positive I had with BB was the 2 in-store coupons a month, but with their new unlimited in-store service, good luck getting any release that came out in the last 2 weeks. With Netflix, I get a new release within one week of it coming out, provided I have an open rental slot with returning a movie. In short, Netflix is the champion here in PA and apparently by the poll too.

Netflix kicks the living crap out of blockbuster as far as I'm concerned. I've noticed the blockbusters by my house have much less business during peak hours since netflix got big.

I detest blockbuster to no end. Especially since they stopped renting out console systems. That was just dumb of them.

Other

Mammoth Video DVD Club. $19.99/mo.

It's not a video through the mail though, you go to the B&M and can get as many videos a month as you want, 2 at a time.

The Evil Empire business blah is no excuse. If BB fails then Netflix just becomes the new Evil Empire business.

Anyway, I am currently using BB but will switch back to Netflix next month. BB return times are faster but the Netflix selection is much better. I have about 30 movies in my BB queue and only 2 are available.

Netflix works great for me. Their selection is great and their turnaround time is outstanding.

I'm using BB right now, the 2 free in store rentals/month are nice & I keep getting free months from them...

Latest deal is to threaten to terminate & they give you a free month. Free month
