NOOOOO. i love the MVP plan over at hollywood. 10 bucks a month and we rent 3 movies every five days. we don't always get new releases but we rent a lot of older random movies and not as recent new releases that are still 3.79 each.

yup... me and my gf do the same thing

I used to work at Video Ave many years ago that ended up being bought out by Hollywood video, kinda ironic that they're being bought out by Block Buster now.

NO! I cannot stand CockBuster and their ripoff prices. What is it, something like 4 bucks for a catalogue rental at BankBuster? I refuse to shop there, and if they bought out Hollywood, well then I just wouldn't rent movies anymore, or find a mom & pop shop.

but doesn't a rental cost more at Hollywood? It cost a $1 more where I live.....

Every Hollywood I've been in has been cheaper than Blockbuster.

you think the govt will let that happen?

Uh yes, they allowed AT&T and Cingular to merge. I somehow doubt BB and Hollywood merging being more dangerous in their eyes.

There are several other large competitors to those companies - most notably Verizon and Sprint.

Interesting. They have a 10yr old blockbuster and a brand new Hollywood nearly right next to each other. I wonder which one they would get rid of.

Well in today's age of common sense and intelligence, I suspect they bulldoze both buildings and rebuild the same building that they just built but in a different color.

Hollywood has gone down the crapper as of late. I used to drive an extra 5 miles past my local BB to go to Hollywood, but BB prices have gone down and their selection of movies has gone up. Plus they carry more unrated stuff, more anime, more games, etc.

none of that two-day rental shit
Actually, it's not even two whole days, since it's due by noon.

I hope, hope, hope this doesn't happen. I can't stand BB ever since they threatened to send me to collections for a friggin' $3 late fee.

Not to mention that many of the rentals in stock are Pan & Scan only.
