Blockbuster labels....

Anybody got an ingenious way to get off those bastard Blockbuster edge to edge labels they put on their DVD's. Got some previewed videos I'd like to restore to a more original condition. Whether it's a chemical product or just a technique, doesn't matter... as long as the damn label comes off cleanly, but the screenprinting on the DVD stays and the disc isn't ruined.

Some movies definitely aren't worth the price of a new copy, but aren't a bad deal previewed. It's either previewed or nothing...

I've never seen a previewed DVD from Blockbuster with anything like that on it.

Might try a generic "Goo be gone" product from the laundry/stain-removal section of a drug/grocery store.

Heating would do well with getting the label off, but not sure what it could/would do to the disc itself.

Before you put anything on it try it on an old cdr and see if it messes up teh label on the disk

I would never buy one a previewed DVD from Blockbuster. Not after having to take every 4th DVD or so I rent from them because the disc it too scratched to play correctly. :| Some people seem to forget that DVD are not meant to be run across the pavement.

You've got a damn finicky DVD player. I've never had a problem with a DVD here, and the previewed ones are in great condition (other than that dang blockbuster logo clear label).
