block things on a router

i have a belkin router and i was wondering if there was a way to prevent people from using programs such a bit torrent on it?

is there some way i can prevent this program from working throught the router?

Many BT clients allow you to configure which ports to use... so just block all ports unless you are running some kind of server... if that's the case then just open up the ports the server needs...
 
Cant' you determine it's a BT packet by looking at the header? Block all packets with that header. Then you dont' have to mess with the port stuff.

Not all routers have that capability...
