Did anyone else watch the matches between MVP and nestea?

Holy crap, that last game was the most epic I've ever seen, by far.

Anyone who likes SC2 should go to www.blizzcon.com and watch it. It's free and simply amazing.

Just sayin'.

horribly played late game by Nestea

epic games to me are when both players are playing to the best of their ability and Nestea played extremely poor in the late game

Agreed. I cringed when I saw Nestea attempt to "carpet bomb" MVP's base. He sat there waiting for what I assume was MVP's forces to come so he could fungal growth them and then bomb them. Too bad he lost most of his Overlords, and worst of all... he let them sit there (full of units) and get taken out.

He had a ton of potential in there to destroy the majority of MVP's base and he did almost nothing.

One thing that's been surprising me when watching these pros play is the complete lack of Thor repairing. I think I saw a few instances of it, and there was some in Set 2 Game 2 where I thought MVP was going to lose a Thor, but he repaired it at the last second.

EDIT:

What about MVP vs. MMA last night in the GSL October finals? I'm kind of puzzled as to why they are surprised that MMA won after the defeated MVP the last time (nVidia competition), which he also won 4-1. You can see those here: http://day9.tv/archives/

I saw it live and nestea messed up so many times. His last ditch attempt with his broodlords but not bringing any overseers to spot the ghosts?

Overlord drop but leaving his units in the overlords?

I saw it live too... both players were definitely treating it like a showmatch instead of a competitive match. I'm inclined to think that Nestea let MVP win in the end to bolster his confidence a bit after the loss to MMA the previous night.

I thought only the GSL Finals and the opening ceremony were shown for free. The GSL Finals (SlayersMMA vs. IMMvp) are not the same thing as the Blizzard Battle.Net Invitational Grand Finals (IMNesTea vs. IMMvp).

wasnt the gsl finals T vs T? im really sick of those and find them boring.

Yeah they were. I find that most people don't like how ridiculously long and turtle-y they become (Boxer vs. July and their 1 hour + match at MLG :p), but I don't recall any of the GSL matches being too long. However, there were some ridiculously long breaks and issues that were resolved that made the entire thing take over 2 hours.

Someone said lots of zerg players will accidentally click on a building when trying to carpet bomb and the overlords will just sit still. Maybe that is what happened.
