Blizzcon 2010 Today

In before Blizzard announces Diablo3 delayed til 4th quarter 2013.
And out before the fanbois scream in terror. As if a million fanbois suddenly cried out in terror, and then suddenly silenced.

You either need less coffee or a better mobile device to post from, that took way more effort than it should have to follow.

Interesting she thought it was a joke since raffle prizes over $600 require the winner to furnish 2 forms of ID to claim the prize due to the significant tax implications. I'd also remind her that she's going to be on the hook for the FMV of the laptop as income on her 2010 taxes ($5k it sounds like) which I'd figure at around a $2k liability.

Bottom line - she just paid $2,000 for the laptop which will either be added to her tax obligation in 2010 or deducted from her refund. I'd probably sell the thing right away before it depreciates significantly to effectively convert it to a cash prize and sock $2k of the proceeds away for tax time... unless she was looking to spend $2k on a laptop in which case she got a pretty screaming deal. 🙂

Last blizzcon, they gave away free shit left and right ... but I no luck when it comes to stuff like that, so I didn't get squat.

I am VERY interested in hearing the initial announcement, that's where they blast off most of the news...the rest of the event is details.

-4 custom games available for Starcraft 2, will be released for free over battle.net over the coming months
- For the first time you can preorder directly from Blizzard and play immediately, Cata related
- 5th and final D3 class is Demon Hunter
- D3 will have PVP battle arenas. Class based combat. Team based battles

Technically you could download wotlk prior to release however it wasnt authorized and you couldnt play it without a cd-key which meant you had to go buy the game in-store and upgrade your account prior to logging in.
 
Only 5 D3 classes =( One of the best parts about D2 was the endless replay-ability just trying new classes (and TQ had that firmly beat with their dual class system).

I'd guess there will be an expansion pack released with new classes... in about 5+ yrs. 🙁
 
Blizz sent 1.1 million from monk WoW pet, meaning they sold about 110,000 of the pet during the first couple months it was released. Releasing a moonkin one this year.

Arthas has gone down over 489,000 times since his raid was released.

Servers go live with Cataclysm at midnight PST on the 7th (hopefully for those not in PST it actually stays @ midnight local time) as previous with only ability to purchase the expansion being linked to blizz corporate time.
 
OMFGWTFBBQ! All of these sites are unblocked now lol. I wonder if the admins at our Cali office are watching it.
