I'm not. Since the mid to late 1990s the Iranian gov't has apparently become quite willing to turn a blind eye to a lot of behavior. Tehran is apparently quite the party town and things like booze, ecstasy etc are surprisingly easy to obtain. You just need to be discrete.

That's the beauty of such a society. Outlaw common behavior but don't enforce it. Then you can choose the undesirables to get rid of, through selective use of those laws.

But in seriousness, the Monarchy faction recently (a year or two ago) joined forces with the Democracy faction and are now one group which espouses a Constitutional Monarchy akin to that which England has. They are a very powerful group.
