During my trip down to FL during the weekend of the 4th I did a lot of walking and standing during their humid spell. The end result was a rather nice blister just under my big toe on the left foot. Normally I would pop these to let it drain, but this time I tried to do the "recommended course" and allow it to heal naturally. And so my trip to hell starts.
Blister hurts for about a week and then begins to shrink. At about 2 weeks the fluid is pretty much gone leaving just a loose layer of dead skin. As the skin starts to tear off I trim it down and thought the process of letting it decay normally wasn't that bad. A couple days later I find I have developed a new blister. In just about the same damn spot. Except this one is about to hit its peak size and is actually bigger than the previous. So by not popping and allowing new skin to grow without early exposure to the environment I get to repeat the blister process.
