blehhh i found a stuck purple pixel on my laptop

I just discovered a stuck purple pixel on my laptop. It's near the top of the sceen where the "edit" menu is on IE. Is there any way to "buff" it out or anything, or do I have to live with it? I already took this laptop back to Radio shack (this is the 723rsh Compaq Presario from the hot deals section), becuase it kept overheating and crashing. I don't feel like taking it back again.

I have had a green one on my laptop for about 2 years now.

There really isn't anything you can do about it. Most places want take them back until you get a certain number of dead pixels on your screen.
