No way dude, not only would sony sue any company who did such a thing, it would be a programing nightmare due to the complexity of the PS2's coding language. The people who made bleem were only allowd to do such a thing when sony said it was ok.

whered u get that from?? if sony said it was ok for bleem to make an emulator for ps1 then they would never of sued their ass. sony never approved the making of bleem. they ran the company out of business

Sony sued the creators of Bleem knowing full well that they would lose in court.
The courts ruled in favor of Bleem. Bleem's problem was that nobody bought their
buggy piece of.... that's why they went out of business. PS2 is quite a different
beast as I understand. Heard that Sony patented a lot of stuff in it which
makes the waters a bit murkier.
