By killing those who threaten ourselves and others we end pain and death. Yet, does the pain we end cause more pain and death than it was worth? That's the speculative and subjective part of all of this in a nutshell.

Reading through those pages (among the many, many similar) I see a pretty much singular viewpoint on wanting to live, and an @$$hole who makes it difficult to do so. That does not come from a singular party, demographic, moral viewpoint neither. Just try finding the material that disagrees with this thinking. You'll produce a few pieces of media - but even the Liberal Left doesn't venture so far as to make it mainstream. I think the only speculative, subjective nutshell argument here is whether or not you think you know what you are talking about...

My sig applies.

for every iraqi that says sadam must be removed, you can find one that says he shouldn't.

I saw a news report today and they had both kinds of people. One Iraqi didn't want the US to invade because he was worried about people dying. Another wanted the US to kill Sadam. The truth is even exiled Iraqis can't agree on what the US should do.

But then again, who gives a sh¡t about truth an objectivity when it comes to this? 90% of the poeple are sheep and the rest are just cynics like me.

Marty, I'm sure those reports are out there but I haven't seen one. Would you mind finding a report of an exiled Iraqi that says he would rather Saddam stay in power?

Thanks.
I'll second that request Marty, and please make sure the reference is from someone who no longer lives there.

There are no reports of exiled people wanting Saddam to stay in power, but there are reports about exiled poeple (currently living in Canada) prefering saddam staying in power over a war. There is a big difference.

And if you want to see the report, turn to CTV NewsNet (channel 17 in GTA), I am sure they are still playing it, since I saw it this morning. CBC newsworld also has some excellent reports from inside iraq (guess what, they hate the US as much as they hate Saddam!)

Marty,

your thoughts

Jack Kelly: What Iraq is really like

My thoughts? This is more or less the same thing the pro-war iraqi exile said in his interview and its nothing I haven't heard before.

I just hope you guys will realize that Iraqis hate america and they hate saddam. Some want war, some don't. And each side will seek to use them to their advantage. Articles like the above are so one sided they are useless.
