Where da white women at?

Sad but true, the PC police would throw a shit-fit if anyone tried to make that movie today.

aww yeah.

Taggart: We'll work up a Number 6 on 'em.
Hedley Lamarr: [frowns] "Number 6"? I'm afraid I'm not familiar with that one.
Taggart: Well, that's where we go a-ridin' into town, a-whompin' and a-whumpin' every livin' thing that moves within an inch of its life. Except the women folks, of course.
Hedley Lamarr: You spare the women?
Taggart: Naw, we rape the shit out of them at the Number Six Dance later on.
Hedley Lamarr: Marvelous!

Hedley Lamarr: Qualifications?
Applicant: Rape, murder, arson, and rape.
Hedley Lamarr: You said rape twice.
Applicant: I like rape.

Hedley Lamarr: My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Taggart: God darnit, Mr. Lamarr, you use your tongue prettier than a twenty dollar whore.

Needed more tits.
Also after that Mel Brooks started to slip just a bit. Spaceballs was OK, but everything after that was crap.

I would put Blazing Saddles as one of the best comedies ever made, and probably the best mel brooks movie ever made.

A few months ago blazing saddles was on a cable tv channel. Just being curious, I looked the cast on wikipedia and did not know that Cleavon Little (the black sheriff) died back in 1992, he was only 53 years old. I had not seen him on tv for a long time, and thought he left hollywood. but come to find out he died from colon cancer <sad face>

It amazes me but i can't think of any other movie he was in besides blazing saddles. He shoulda been in more comedies.

A great, great movie indeed. Not just the writing, but the casting was great as well.

"Dang, that was lucky. Doggone near lost a $400 handcar!"

All the jokes just aren't funny to me anymore. Blame it on all the crude humor knock-off imitators since, but it's still toilet humor too, none the less. The Looney-Tunes wacky crap is particularly sigh/eye-roll inducing.

Anyone wanna buy my BD copy now that I've done such a great job selling you on it? :D

I find it offensive they bleep or mute out "******" whenever it's shown on cable TV [even late at night].

This is one of those comedy movies people should watch before they die. :)

The more times you say ****** in a movie, the funnier it gets.

Friday is hilarious.
