I just had this pop into my head after listening to some OPP. KLF - 3am eternal

Anyone else love this song? Apparently there were several versions. Some of them suck, but the one from that mix that came out around a decade ago (one of those famous dance mixes whatever they were called) kicks some heiny.

I owned that on cassette. I remember listening to it as I played a video game on my 286. It was that game where you were a hovercraft-tank. I can't remember the name but it was damn cool.

My 286 (maybe it was an XT?) was even more ghetto. Had a puny 13" orange-on-black monitor using a 2400 baud modem, only used it for BBSs, internet (IRC / PINE e-mail) and that's it.

They played this during our 1992 High School prom, it doesn't get any worse than that.

House of pain is old hat, baby!

You guys seem to be of the same vintage as me!

My first IBM-compatible PC was an 8088 with a 4 color CGA monitor, 640k of RAM (ooh!) and a 2400 baud modem. I ALSO used to play BRE, but before that, I played Solar Realms Elite. I think BRE added inter-BBS play, but i'm not sure.

I also player Pimp Wars, and some game I can't remember the name of, it was like a scorched earth scenario, where water was a SUPER valuable commodity, and there was radiation everywhere and crap like that.

Anyone remember B-52's "Rock Lobster"? They played that at like every single middle school dance.

"it was a rock.....lobster! Aaaahh aahhh aaahh aahhh.."

Here comes a stingray! (Wah! Wah! )
There goes a manta ray! (Eee! Eee! Eee!)
In walked a jellyfish! (Ehhhhhhhhhhh!)
There goes a dogfish! (Erreeoooowww!)
Chased by a catfish! (Eeeeooooooo!!)
In flew a sea robin! (Lalalalalalalala!)
Watch out for that pirahna! (Yayayayayayayoooohh!)
In comes a narwhale! (Aaaa aaa aaa aaa!)
Here comes a BIKINI WHALE!!! (EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!)

Sample city through trancentral
Basic facekick elemental
Swings brings new technology
The K the L the F and theology
The force coming down with mayhem
Looking at my watch time 3 am
Got to see that everywhere I turn
Will point to the fact that time is eternal

The whole Stadium House Trilogy was great. I love The KLF/The Jams/The Timelords/The Justified Ancients of Mu Mu/K Foundation/The Kopyright Liberation Front/The Forever Ancients Liberation Loophole/The One World Orchestra/Space/Whatever the hell else they have called themselves.

Aahh...the memories. That song is classic :)

How bout this one?

"S is for super
and the U is for unique
the P is for perfection and you know that we are freaks
the E is for exotic
and the R is for raps
so tell those nosy people just to stay the hell back"

or DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince "Summertime"...I still love this song!

My (dad's) first IBM was a ps/2 model 80....a 386 back in 1986 isn't so bad!! :) He still uses it for something...i forget for what. We still use the keyboard that came with it...they don't make them like they used to.
