I bought this a couple days ago and just tried playing it for about an hour. Instantly liked it and I haven't even tired some of the new selling points: local co-op team mode or local vs. mode or the single player campaign mode. I haven't played Archon since the Commodore 64 days and find this to still be a great game and at $2.30 it's a no-brainer. This sale isn't for Steam (it's $9.99 on Steam). Probably a dumb question, but I downloaded it on a VM and copied the fullgame.zip to my main computer (I don't trust the download manager).

When I try and run Archon it asks me for a serial number and I didn't receive any and nothing is listed in my greenman gaming account.......

help........

I let the Capsule downloader (which is OK to trust) download it and then I pressed "install" from Capsule and it worked fine for me and I don't recall inputting any key nor is such a key listed in my GMG account. I'd recommend you save yourself some trouble and install it the way I did (though I have done it similar to your way w/ a different game I bought from them - Irem Arcade Classics, which never asked for a key)
