Blargh..got a problem with USB devices and system freezing

I have a Gigabyte K8NS Ultra 939 mobo (Nforce 3) and Venice 3200+. Everything was great until recently when my USB devices i.e. mouse and keyboard (both logitech) stopped responding completely. This is all out of the blue. Got NV mobo drivers installed and so on. Another thing is, when I restart, the BIOS settings are back to default...WTF?! My headphones today did get some highpitched sounds from the right headphone one time when the mouse and keyboard stopped responding. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I've tried updated drivers, rolled back drivers, flashed bios...what's left?!

*FIXED* it was the darn NV IDE SW....GRR, never again will i install this
