Hi, my PC monitor was moved and now when I boot up the Windows logo
appears then everything goes blank. I can start it in VGA mode and it works
but if I try and up the resolution it immediatly blanks out. I have a PCI
Nvidia FX 5200 graphics card in a DELL 2350 system. It has worked fine
for a year. I have tried another monitor and cable but the same thing happens.
I've run out of ideas - please help!
Thanks, Chris

Have you made certain you don't have a virus or such? If so boot from the XP CD, hit R to get to the recovery console, and use the fixboot command, try FixMBR if needed, and run chkdsk /r/f while you are at it.

I had a weird problem like that happen to me after doing a backup with my tape drive.
I had to boot in safe mode, uninstall the Nvidia driver, then re-install it, fixed the problem.

I too had the same prob, but it was realted to a change in the Nvidia sound drivers. Luckily I wanted to do a fresh re-install anyway.
