Blank money order... ?

Hmm..

Ok, my girlfriends mom gave me a money order.. It was originally to pay for my girlfriends night school, but I ended up paying cash(because we didn't want to go pick up the money order at her moms at the time). The money order is blank.

How should I fill it out? Should I have my girlfriend sign her own name, or write her moms name?

I guess it's not like they ask for identification when you get the money order, so the signature on it shouldn't matter, right? I could just sign it if I wanted to? lol..

They'd probably think I was retarded or something, wasting 25 cents on writing myself a money order. 😛

Cant buy a blank M.O.
gotta pay the man at the register the amount of the M.O.

he means the to/from fields are blank stupid.

Anyhow, the from field doesnt matter at all. it can be blank when you turn it in. Or put in George W. Bush or something, that'd be funny.

You can make out the To: field to yourself or to "cash", either will be fine.

Geez.. I didn't think I would actually have to spell it out. 😛

Of course the ammount is printed on it.

The rest is blank; her mom never filled it out.. which is good, considering it ended up comming to me instead of going to the school.

As for the question.. thanks, I didn't think it mattered.

It's good as cash as far as a bank is concerned. I'd deposit it to your checking/savings account, then withdraw when needed.

at a bank yes, at a store, no

money orders are easily counterfeited, so most stores dont accept them
