Blanche Lincoln saw 2 mil go to her opponent in a couple days because groups like Moveon targeted her for not being rad enough.

"Longtime Arkansas Sen. Blanche Lincoln narrowly avoided becoming another casualty of anti-Washington sentiment, barely defeating Lt. Gov. Bill Halter, a favorite of labor unions and environmental groups in a close runoff race.

Lincoln had slightly more than 50 percent of the votes, with Halter trailing closely behind, according to the Associated Press.

Lincoln's win is a major blow to labor unions and liberal groups, who poured millions of dollars into Halter's campaign, and in a state that normally doesn't garner this much national attention..

The groups wanted to paint Lincoln as an example of what would happen to Democrats who crossed liberal groups"

Good news for Dems who are still American.

An example of what was going on last March..

"Blanche Lincoln’s Primary Challenger Raises $1M in 36 Hours"

"Many senators will go down in infamy as having played the role of roadblock on the path to comprehensive health care reform. Remember the fun Ben Nelson had as ringleader of the Gang of Six last year? Harry Reid’s wavering indecision is, of course, another example of obstruction. Joe Lieberman! Mary Landrieu! OK, I could go on forever… and I’ve not yet named a single Republican.

But Blanche Lincoln may be the first to experience real payback for her role in abandoning her Arkansan constituents. As we wrote earlier this week, her state’s lieutenant governor, Bill Halter, has announced that he will challenge her in the Democratic primary this year.

And now comes the news that in a mere 36 hours since Halter announced his candidacy, progressives have donated nearly $1 million to his nascent campaign. (According to Adam Green of BoldProgressives.org, the million-dollar mark will be crossed any second now.)
MoveOn.org members have donated $854,000; PCCC/DFA members have given $61,000; and DailyKos readers have added $30,000 to Halter’s campaign coffers.

Lincoln should be shaking in her Capitol Hill heels. Polling shows that she is trailing Republican challengers by a large margin — and adding a challenge from within her own party to the mix is only going to make things even harder for her..."

Moveon et al designated one of its own (who it considerd off the reservation) for destruction with a lot of resources and hoopla - and lost. Since Soros/Moveon have owned Dem party this is a blowback of large proportions. If you don't know what that means as a Dem it's not a surprise lol.

Could be - since Lincoln was targeted by "the base"

"Arkansas Sen. Blanche Lincoln came back from the political grave Tuesday night with a stunning primary victory over Democratic challenger Bill Halter, defeating the lieutenant governor and insurgent Senate candidate by a thin, single-digit margin to secure her party’s nomination for a third term...

Lincoln came under fierce attack from parties' bases.. and powerful liberal groups including the AFL-CIO and Service Employees International Union who lashed Lincoln as a legislator in the pocket of Wall Street. "

Hear that balloon popping?

I dont know Blanche, dont care about moveon or unions all that much but..

I take issue with your phrase "dems who are still American" which insinuates that people who opposed Blanche are un-American. Fuck you. You and people like you are everything that is wrong with politics in America today.

I'm glad I could upset you and highlight the fact YOU are guilty of what you accuse others of.

The present Dem party has given protected status to terrorists (Hasan etc) while attacking citizen protesters as terrorists. Obama's Dem party bows to foreigners and favors America's (and Israel's) enemies as well as critics.

In 2005-6 the Dem party turned on US military and threw them under the bus in order to undercut Bush. Much to their disgrace, the US rewarded Dems with Congress in 2006. Good Americans Cant be Dems anymore but this election brings hope for future.

Dems have represeneted foreigners and internationalists (and illegals) first more than citizens. That is readily observed fact to anyone not lost in their head. Tonight the people still concerned with US won out.

Thats' quite the sack of lies you spewed there.

Republicans are anti-American.

More lies. How about you back up just something you've said.

I suppose at this point it would be especially poignant to point out the Republican failures over the last 10 years and point out that good Americans can't be Republican.

Or we could acknowledge that being a Republican or Democrat doesn't necessarily mean you agree with every action of every person that claims to BE of that party. But that would spoil all your fun.

So carry on your partisian hackery.

Waiting to be called a Democrat in 3......2.....1..... (and I'm not by the way).

America could survive another 100 years under even a broke GOP.

That's not remotely true under present Dem party - who dont even represent US Dems more than illegals. Time to go after Dem party and stop worrying about GOP because its elements in Dem party taking it into oblivion and historical shame akin to Confederacy.

We barely survived 8 years.

Easily dismissed. US has had 4 terror attacks under Obama in about 16 months - quite contrary to Bush - and the enemies of Israel and US are gathering together to unleash war in the ME.

Obama's deficits and programs are called unsustainable by his own agencies

Obama and the radical Dem party is a disaster unlike anything in US history and the people know it

hahahahaha!!!!!

I have to give major props to Bill Halter for siphoning ~$3 million away from SEIU! With their failure of a pension that will not get bailed out by the federal government, eventually the workers should come around to revolt against the "bosses" :D And what was it, nearly $10m he took from the uber-"progressives"?

Yeah, so I really don't know much about Lincoln or Halter, this was Arkansas' decision to make. I just like knowing the unions cannot buy elections.

oh wait, if Halter had won, SEIU would have thrown away millions upon millions of more dollars in defeat to the Republican challenger...

Perhaps I should have been rooting for Halter to win the primary...

There's been much more terror attacks than that but it looks like you only count Muslim ones.

Even with that of course terror attacks under Bush trump any more recent ones.

Wow, you're a nutball. Israel has been the aggressor of late.

Obama's deficits and programs are called unsustainable by his own agencies

Most people will admit that Bush ran up gigantic deficits with his crazy Iraq war and the unsustainable tax cuts. He then handed off a crisis economy to Obama. Our current president has made many improvements but I don't think you see them.

Obama and the radical Dem party is a disaster unlike anything in US history and the people know it

BushCo was a disaster, he made a big mess to clean up. It's still going to take awhile.
