My mom has been hounding my brothers and I for awhile now to pick out images for her next tattoo. She wants us each to pick out a sun image (for her three 'sun's - :\ )

I don't care about this crap. I'm not creative nor do I particularly appreciate the "symbolism" or whatever behind a tattoo or its "meaning" (If you need a tattoo of your daughter on your arm to remember that you love her, you're a goddamn idiot)

But If I just tell her to do whatever, I don't care, I know she'll be disappointed, so I have to think of something. Any ideas?

A tattoo based on a tacky homophone. Nice.

I don't blame you. I wouldn't waste my time on it.

You're trying to be a douche.

If I was trying to be a douche I'd tell her how incredibly lame it is and to stop wasting my time with this crap. I'm trying to be a good son, and humor her terrible ideas to keep her from feeling bad.

One of my brothers wants his "sun animal" (who said anything about animals?) to be an eagle cause hes in the air force and loves america and shit

My other brother wants a triblol sun with a phoenix rising from the ashes because of some dome reasoning I can't remember

My mom asks me to go to church with her sometimes. I don't go to strangers and bitch and moan about her request to make her appear foolish and silly because we all know church is make believe.

Wow, dude. its your mom, pick out a fucking sun and give it to her. If you dont, when she dies, then you will post your whiney shit on "how I should have been a better son and just picked out a tat for her, wah wah wah". Just do it. What she wants to do to her body is up to her. Be grateful she loves your whiney ass. :)

How hard is it to find a nice sun image? You could have it done in the time it took you to write this post.

She wants them to have "meaning" so she can tell her friends and shit about. If I just send her some clipart sun she'll know I didn't bother to try an hurt her feelings just as bad

You know, even though I hate tattoos and would never get one, an image of the actual sun might be kinda cool.

Either something like this:

or maybe go with an eclipse:

I guess these are more meaningful to me since I love astronomy but if you are at all interested in science you could use that as your explanation.

tell her to be a non conformist and stop injecting chemical goo of different colors under her skin. They all end up looking like laundry accidents.

If my mom asked me for a tattoo design, I would simply tell her I don't like body art and I don't want to make a suggestion for her to be permanently inked.

If she wants to do it, she has every right, but I'm not going to assist.
