Build #1:

Video: MSI R4850 $165 AR
CPU: E8400
Mobo: ASUS P5Q Pro Combo Mobo+CPU $245 AR
RAM: G.Skill 4GB $67
PSU: Corsair 550W $ 70 AR

Total: $547

Build #2:

Video: Same $165 AR
CPU: E7300
Mobo: MSI P43 Neo3-F Local Fry's has combo for $189 (there might be a $10 rebate to the mobo too).
RAM: Corsair 4GB $45 AR
PSU: Same $70 AR

Total: $469

I will use this rig for entertainment mostly (gaming, movies, etc), but I usually upgrade every 4-5 years or so.

Which one would you guys pick?

I personally like build #1 more especially with the possibility of getting an E0 stepping E8400 and that ram in build #2 is sold out by the way. So it pretty much boils down to the cpu and mobo. If there's no budget limit, go for #1!

I actually ordered that kit a couple of days ago for a secondary rig and it ended up showing as backordered when I checked the ship status for the order. When I called them today, they said the ETA was early next week.

I called "heads" for #1 and "tails" for #2. The flip came up "heads"...
You should go with your build #1.:laugh:
