I didn't know this existed but they are showing it on Encore. The worst narration ever. This movie did not need narration . And wtf with the happy ending.

I think George Lucas needs to DIAF for messing with Star Wars, but Ridley Scott deserves a medal for fixing this mess with the director's and final cuts of the movie. That shit is brilliant.

Blade Runner was pretty horrible before. not much has changed.

The original version was the first one I saw, so I still enjoy it. The voice-over gives it a detective noire feel. It's not nearly as bad as some people make it out to be... it's just in style nowadays to bash the theatrical version. The new version is good too, I can enjoy both. If you've only ever seen the new version, I can understand the voice-over seeming strange to you, but when you say it's "horrible", that's your opinion.

I'm still resistant to the whole idea that Decker is a replicant. As far as I know that was not the original intent of Ridley Scott, but it seems like he was influenced by the fans and decided to just go along with it.

Wait..what... Deckard is a replicant? [checking Wikipedia - ok, it's setup so the viewer makes their own determination]. AH man..guess I'll have to check out that version as I always assumed he was human.

Blade Runner was cool in 1982 but also pretty boring.

The narration was forced on the movie by the studio.

In the new version they added a scene where he dreams of unicorns, which is supposed to be a strong suggestion that he's a replicant.

what if my unicorn dreams are robot unicorns?
