Blade Of Darkness.... Selecting a difficulty level?

I remember enjoying BOD when it was 1st released.
Its definately one of the better "overlooked" titles out there IMO.

I also remember why I never finished it... The difficulty level was extreme to say the least.

Last I remember was fighting a skeleton boss & finally giving up after numerous hrs/days of trying to defeat him.

Well, I recently just re-installed the game..(I forgot just how GOOD this game is)

Somehow I recall being on a site that had a hack for the game that allowed you to choose an easier difficulty level.

Anyone happen to have a link or any info about this.

Id like to FINISH the game this time.

I totally agree with you-this game rocks!! Great graphics & animations as well. What character are you playing. I finished the game with the barbarian & that was supposed to be the hardest character to play(and it was hard-especially the 1st time I went against the vampire-took me 2 days to beat him) with-the knight or the amazon are the ones who supposedly are easiest to finish the game with. You got me all psyched now-im going to have to install it again & try a different character. Dont know how to change the difficulty, though

Im playing with the barbarian again, same as I did the 1st time.

Knowing you finished it without a difficulty selection is definately an incentive to play it the way it is.

All I remember is walking away from the game thinking, "this is one of the best games I ever played AND by FAR the most difficult!"

I left in on my hard drive for quite some time and went back tried it several times and I was just plain stuck.

Maybe I'll do better this time around.

Id still like to drop the difficulty down a notch though.

And the graphics hold up EXTREMELY well compared to the newer games out today, the game is truely a work of art.

I kinda remember reading somewhwere that theres a sequal coming to the consoles.
Not sure if its gonna make it to the pc though.

IGN Xbox: What plans do you have for a sequel or other versions?

Juan Berasategui: We're still involved in talks with Codemasters, but it seems that we'll go for Blade of Darkness on Xbox. At the same time as that begins to happen, we'll start working on Blade of Darkness 2 for PC, PlayStation 2, and Xbox. If everything goes to plan, that should be happening around March next year.
