Checked Metacritic Shield was ranked higher than Blacklist and Nine Nine. Both shows I thought being far superior to Shield. I must have a very different opinion than most with TV shows.

I liked the concept of AoS, but god damn all the characters are boring cookie cutter types. Martial arts asian woman, buff guy who's an expert killer and only works alone, hot bio girl, socially awkward tech geek, and of course the emaculate looking hacker woman who's cocky and anti-authority.

Unless the story writing gets really good, I don't see it lasting. Which is a shame because they could have done a lot with it.

Terribly miscast as the "nerd" factor.

heh, I'll agree there. Their British mumbling back and forth got irritating in about 10 seconds.

Still, the show overall was interesting. I loved the truth serum bit :D

Agents was awful. I can not believe Marvel or Disney would put their names on it. It was painful making it through the whole hour.

Blacklist was better than expected however the lead actress is just too powerful for being her first day. She ignores superior officers telling her what to do on her FIRST day. Runs around like she owns the place. I really hate those types of characters because they don't exist in real life. But maybe they are going for the hyper reality vibe.

Bingo. I thought that was seriously ridiculous. :colbert:

I kept this fact to myself when watching with wifey, b/c if I start pointing out the defects of the show, she'll stop viewing the stupidity of it all and never give it a second chance.

ugh I just finished watching it. not a great show. i hated the lead lady. she was a bitch when she didnt' have to be. she just didnt' come across as a believable . She is fresh out of training and acting like she has been doing it for years? she is the only one that can figure shit out?

oh yeah and how fucking incompetent people seem to ber. ugh

Agents was pretty meh. I will still watch for a few more episodes, but it is not looking promising. Fitz Simmons is the worse part, super annoying and the thick accents don't help.

No interest in Blacklist.

The new TV season has pretty much been a dud so far.

I liked Agents of Shield, but why does everyone on the show have to be a supermodel? That one girl said she lived in a van, yet had perfect hair, skin, and clothes. I hate that.

That AoS problem sums up my problem with Blacklist. Why is it that a lady with a huge scar, abandoned by her father, and claims to be mentally damaged, and needs a child to save her, has perfect skin, perfect hair, perfect make-up, a normal looking husband, a nice house in the city, a successful career (albeit new), and no perceivable flaws aside from the ones she talks about?

This is pretty much Hannibal-lite, but it everyone's happy, everyone's nice, etc. Oh, and all her coworkers are idiots. Not watching again.

I wasn't meaning the fact the car was flying so much as how they depicted it. In my mind, it looked just like the DeLorean at the end of BTTF1 running away from the camera then making a lazy turn towards the camera.

If only they would have said, "Roads? Where we're going, we don't need 'roads'."

*Cue Alan Silvestri's Back to the Future theme!*

Blacklist- why did he need the FBI's help to get close to the sex trafficker?

with all his resources, he could have exposed her himself??

so far I like the mystery behind the girl agent.
Kinda like Lost and polar bears on a tropical island.

hopefully i'm not as disappointed when they reveal the answers.

Watched The Blacklist again tonight. Man that lady playing Keen is a terrible actress.

She has it way too together for what's supposed to be a Will Graham or Clarice Starling type character.

That is what I was thinking... guess he just like showmanship ?

Better show than hostages though (on at same time).

Agreed...and tonight's episode was pretty predictable. I told my wife when they
first introduced the Isabella Rossellini character that she was going to turn out to be the child trafficker and the "operation" would be about getting her.

Still...it's better than some of the crap on TV. I'll give it a few more episodes before I make a decision. I LIKE Spader...and hope the show gets better.

Why did they cast 2 people with super thick accents (Fitz Simmons)? I could barely understand anything either of them were saying.

I wasn't the only one then? :D I don't like to bring up when I can't understand people because I have some hearing loss and tinnitus, and a lot of times it's just me.

Funny, I had no issue. But then I watch a lot of shows like Doctor Who, Inspector Lewis, Sherlock etc.

AoS is beginning to look a little half hearted. the cinematography is pretty uninspired, most of the action in last nights ep looked like something shot at the universal studios tour. there's a half decent character arc with coulson, but everyone else is just superficially bland. coulson barely acts like the version we saw in the movies or the short, and you barely got a glimpse of that version in the last scene with SLJ.

it feels like the showrunners got handed a second hand project and some notes and were told to crank something out.

No interest in Blacklist.

I'd rather watch Covert Affairs if I wanna see a spy show.

At least that show is like the Travel channel with the different int'l places they travel to.

Both the GF and I are writing off AoS. It just seems like the show's writers were completely uninspired and opted for cliches and that makes the show uncompelling to watch.
