Blacked out in Seattle.

We've been without power here in Federal Way since sometime in the wee hours of the morning. From the way it appeared when I got off the freeway to come home this afternoon, the outage is pretty widespread. The news said ~1,000,000 people were without juice this morning.

If it doesn't come back on sometime today I'm going to start worrying about the food in our fridge and freezer. Luckily we got about a half-dozen Del-logs for the fireplace. Too bad we don't have a gas hot water heater. 🙁

<---Wenatchee. Our giant spruce tree fell over and into the street last night. The PUD said they'd come and deal with it, but they've been busy for hours and cars can't get through. Luckily, a neighbor has all the tools and is helping to get it out.

Yeah, we had about 15ft of our backyard fence go down, but apart from that the physical damage in my immediate vicinity ain't too bad. I can see some other neighbors had similar problems with their fences. There's a sh1tload of small-ish limbs strewn everywhere though.

Seattle apparently got most of their power back... Just eastern side doesn't.

Okay, just so long as you have the necessities. 😀

If I were you I'd save the laptop battery power for something more important than ATOT.

It's ok, I have an inverter for the cigarette lighter socket in my car. I can recharge there. Hell, I may just go sit out there for some heat and nef while my lappy recharges. 😀

Yeah, I was up at UW most of the day and I just got back a little while ago. Things were fine up there, power-wise, but it seemed like half the people just stayed home today.

Giant tree limb fell on my roof, luckily no major damage. Lots of branches in yard though!

Power just came back after 24 hours...
