Saw AiC last year before they started touring, and they fucking killed it

I understand the love for Layne but the replacement is fucking spot on IMHO, and jerry still rapes the guitar

I haven't seen Deftones since Chino/Stephen stopped riding the white pony, I'd love to though. New AIC, not so much. (saw them twice already)

Saw BTB&M when they were playing with Dream Theater, not my cup of tea back then. Now, who knows.

Haven't heard much from Deftones except the stuff on Pandora, but I like what I hear.

Mastadon I know nothing of, but I've heard their name more than once.

Mastodon fucking own. They've changed a lot over the years but I think you'll enjoy them knowing your taste in music. They went from a sludge/doom/thrash metal band (sleep/earth/neurosis mixed with metallica) to slightly more progressive to full out prog metal. They are definitely one of the better modern metal acts out there.

Deftones also became a completely different band but they're still putting out quality tunes.

after going to the Megadeth 20th anniv. tour I can say with 100% certainty that thrash is not my cup of tea. It's not unbearable, just not my favorite.

Interesting...I'm seeing them Saturday night! Pretty excited about Mastodon, Baroness, and Valiant Thorr. I really don't like BTBAM.
