My 9 speed dials are full - how do I set some up with two digits, i.e. 11, 12, etc?

No real keypad means you only get nine slots. Try using voice dialing and a convenience key if you need more.

thats ridiculous. i have a crappytastic touch phone (samsung delve) and you just scroll the speed dial screen like anything else to get up to at least 30 slots.

try scrolling it, or snail-mail someone at RIM a bitchslap?

Maybe, but I've never used more than four SD on any of my phones, dumb or otherwise.

Anyhow, how is a speed dial screen speedy? Speed dial should just run from the dial pad, right?

This is why lacking a physical keyboard is bad. On every other BB you can just start spelling their name and the number comes right up. It's rarely more than 3-4 button presses total, so it's damn near a speed dial for your entire contact list. With the storm you have to open the contacts list, bring up the keyboard, then spell it.
