Seemed odd Blackberry would launch the Z10 first and take almost half a year to launch the keyboard equipped Q10 that Blackberry fans would have probably prefered more.

They wanted to take back some market share, not just preach to the choir. It was a gamble.

With as much time as they spent preparing BB10, I think they should of had both phones ready in January. :)

Though I guess it doesn't really matter, sounds like neither is that popular anyway.

I don't get why they're even investing in a new BB7.1 device. This is really a poor decision unless it was for a specific buyer who then cancelled...

It was probably the last product on their old roadmap, and management figured they'd come out a little ahead by pushing it to market than cutting their losses.

It's fairly important for legacy reasons and some foreign countries. They'll make money on it.
