Blackberry redirection

Is there a third party add on for exchange (or even outlook) that will allow a Blackberry to have address books, calendars and messages synchronized and re-directed to the handheld?

We were just quoted $1500 for "Blackberry Enterprise Server" that installs on a server in an Exchange environment. Nice but not $1500 nice. We have two phones and that is ridiculous.

Yes, the desktop redirector software that comes with your handheld will do it, but not as speedy as a BES server. I manage a few BES/Exchange Servers and have tried both ways. For the money, I'd use the desktop redirector, or your cell company's BB internet service, which should come with your plan.

I suppose one option a smaller business has to go is to get MS Exchange and BlackBerry Enterprise Server outsourced. It's probably even fairly competitive on price when you factor in the non-need to maintain and backup both the BES and MS Exchange 2003 services, since that's handled for you.

Microsoft® Exchange BlackBerry Enterprise Server at mail2web.com

Edit: Been a long day so I forgot to add my full disclosure; I do business with the company mentioned above. If you have questions about their service feel free to PM me.

The BES server is for managing multiple Blackberries. You can reset passwords and do all kinds of other stuff wirelessly. It's like using Active Directory for Windows accounts.

For 2 Blackberries it's a total waste.
