So I've been using lots of phones with QWERTY keypads lately, and I must say that so far BlackBerry has the best (8700 series to be precise). Its much more natural feeling and I find that I type the fastest using it. Now I may be biased since its also the one I've used the most, but I've had all the others for a few weeks now and the BlackBerry still gets my vote. The Treo 700 is a close second in terms of keypress feel, but for some reason it just seems smaller to me. The Q is horrendous--the keys don't press easily at all and the shape feels odd on my fingers.
I have tried some of the dual-screen clamshell phones with the wider QWERTY layout inside, and while the form factor shows lots of promise I can't say much for execution based on my experience. The phone I have has a VERY short keystroke press, feels like a touchpad and not like a proper tactile push. I have yet to try Nokia's implementation but I've heard there's might be better.
