Firstly, there is a forum for this:

Secondly, almost all functions can be controlled via the BES (Central Admin Server), and other components will be controlled by the carrier (Data, voice, MMS, SMS rights, etc).

e.g., your company could activate the phone app, but if you don't have a voice contract with your carrier you still cannot make calls.

I had to sign a "change of responsibility" so I could use my old number on my blackberry. I don't know who wants two cell phones. They pay for everything and I even get it replaced if it breaks. In fact, I am getting a new one today since my pearls' ball stopped working.

If for whatever reason one of our devices will not have a voice plan then we do disable the phone application from the device.

That's just wrong. :(

When/if I go on call at my company I will be issued a cell phone. I already have unlimited text messaging with Sprint at the moment on my personal cell phone, so text message alerts I allow to be sent to my phone anyways(ipmonitor when switches/servers/routers/etc. stop responding).

Otherwise, the minute I am needed for something outside of work at a regular basis, I will be issued a cell phone and they cover all the bills, etc.
