Hey guys, quick question. I have an unlimited data plan with my BB, so is there any way just to write a wall of text and send it as a text, and the person who receives it just gets 3-4-5 pages?

I'm getting texts from people and they always come as 2-3 pages, wtf?

I hate this, "field is full" thing...

Grrrr....

My old BB wasn't able to do it but my Hero can. It's probably just a limit of the BB phones...

Are you on Verizon? From some quick googling, it may be that Verizon purposefully limits you to 160 characters per text. All other providers can send multiple pages.

im on verizon but dont have a bb. my daughter will type huge messages and send them to me when she has something on her mind, they will automatically split into multiple messages. she has the enV3 and i have the omnia. there is no limit to the amount typed on either phone.

You shouldn't need to set anything, but maybe Telus have asked for the OS to be gimped. That can be easily fixed if it is the case.

Normally if you go over 160 chars any BB will just roll onto text 2, with the display at the top showing "160/2 of 6" or similar (Just checked on OS 5, so yours may vary), where 160 is the num of chars left in that text, and send both or all three, four, etc when you hit send.

Which device and which OS(options/about)?
