Blackberry Curve 8330 vs Blackberry Storm 9530

So my dad's in the market for a new phone, and he'd like it to be a Blackberry. His current phone is an LG 225 (Tracfone). These are the two main ones he's considering. His main uses for the phone will be internet browsing (when away from a computer), calls, and photos. I seriously doubt he'd be texting.

Is the Storm worth the extra 50 bucks over the Curve? Which one is the better phone?

Alternatively, do you guys have any other suggestions for similar phones with similar prices/features?

Hey there buddy. The reason no one responded is because the question is kind of basic and its already been covered many times in this forum. Just do a search for Curve and read some threads, then do a search for Storm and read some threads. You'll get all the info you need.

To help get you started: Most everyone who has had a Storm said it was very nice but they couldnt get used to how slowly the thing responds to every input. Eventually many of them tired of it and went with something else completely.
No one had similar complaints about the old Curve. The only complaints with that device is it feels old and many nerds here prefer to be on the cutting edge. They would recommend one of the newer BlackBerries. As a matter of fact, T-mobile just got an exclusive new Curve device. You should check it out.

Actually, in some ways its inferior to the older Curve. Better to get another model I think.

On Sprint/Verizon get the BB Tour (9630)

On TMo get the Curve "2" 8900 or 8520

On ATT get the Curve "2" 8900 or the Bold (9000)

BB Storm is good for student in my opinion just like tmobile sidekick is hot for young students so I guess all blackberries phone beside storm are good for business because of the best email and also storm is 3g and curve is not take your pick
I think it is better for your dad to get either bB Bold or cheaper née Tour which sells for 99 dollars at best buy

if its just web browsing, you might want to consider one of the web capable dumb phones like the enV touch

Storm is awful. I love the curve. If hes got verizon then hed be better off getting a tour
