Blackberry 8100 Pearl reconciliation issues

Any advice welcome here - have a variety of BB Pearl and 8700 devices setup on our BES which is running version 4.1

All are working fine with the exception of 1 Pearl user - within a few hours (sometimes a day) her device stops reconciling with her Outlook mailbox (we are running Exchange 2003 SP1). Trying to force a Reconcile Now or syncing via the desktop does nothing and Wireless reconciliation is still enabled both on the device and the BES.

The device still receives and sends e-mails fine regardless. If I wipe the handheld and reactivate against the BES then everything is fine for a few hours or so before it stops again.

Any ideas what might be causing this? I've already swapped out the device but the same problem keeps happening.

There are firmware updates for the Pearl. I'm on 4.2.0.64 and there are versions past that out there, too.

They can be tough to get hold of, but the best way I found was to use the T-mobile USA site and put in a bogus TMO phone number. The format is out there if you google, I cannot remember, but you just need to change the last four digits and that will let you DL the firmaware. Don't worry if you are not using a TMO device, mine is an O2 and it went up to the TMO firmware with no issues.

Be aware that if you run the update your Pearl may spend up to an hour or more restarting, i.e. you'll think you have bricked it, but bricking is almost totally unheard of, so don't worry, just wait.
