Did you guys even read the article? His comments only appeared positive. He's still blaming everyone for the problems in the black community except for the people really at fault -- the black community.

This was the closest I saw to Sharpton blaming someone else in this article:
The civil rights activist faulted Hollywood and the record industry for making "gangsterism" seem cool and acceptable.

Move along, people. Just more idiotic comments from Rev. Dumbass. I wish just for ONCE he'd admit that the black community propogates (sp?) this image itself instead of blaming it on someone else.

I think we've allowed a whole generation of young people to feel that if they're focused, they're not black enough. If they speak well and act well, they're acting white, and there's nothing more racist than that.

Right - because white people are the ones pushing this and making it "racist".
Where does he say that? Try reading it again - slowly.

I have to agree for the most part.

I said this same idea once a year or two ago and people said I was a racist. Guess it takes someone from the home field to tell the truth.

I mean, really? Who is going to hire someone with a gold grille, had thier pants around their knees, and walks around moving thier arms in and out. People associate that look with someone that's going to rob them.

I have always said the same.

I will never hire a person w ho comes in with pants around their knees, hat (the gangster look). never in a million years. Also you even do a little "ebonics" your application goes right into the garbage.

Kind of hard to take him seriously on the occasions he might make interesting points. The fact that he himself may have been involved in seriously shady dealings (possible involvement with drug distribution, etc.) in the past makes it hard to take his preaching seriously.
