Good luck getting a girl to spend any time in your home with those!

My wife does'nt like the idea, but I assured her that they would'nt get out ;)

umm you was wrong lol . You said later on that the male got out and was dead on the kitchen floor. I hope your wife doesnt find out about this lol.

and you plan on letting the babies loose in your garage? OMG YOUR C RAZY!

Yea' I could've sworn he was big enough to not get out, he must've sucked in his gut on that one ;)

heres a question, how are you going to know if the eggs have hatched yet when you put them into a container that you can not see through the side walls?

I'm just imaging you frolicking along and opening the cottage cheese container expecting to see 2 eggs, only to be attacked by hundreds of baby black widows

Attacked?

I just think most of you have a phobia of spiders. 1. Do you really think I want to get bitten? 2. I'm careful, no worries mate!

If I were you, I'd be more worried about a Brown Recluse than a Black Widow! Those actually roam around looking for food, where Black Widows stake out a place and stay there. Usually high in a corner somewhere.

Yes
Umm, where'd you find that male again? Oh yeah, no worries.

F' that shit mate. Flamethrower is the only answer to this new situation. Male escaped, and now babies on the way? F' THAT. Momma and babies gotta burn. No way in hell would I let them loose in my back yard. One, I'd be too tempted to kill them in the first place, and if I was nice enough to let them live, I think I'd be driving a few miles away and release them into the wild. Probably would just kill them though.

And while Brown Recluse's do roam around, they don't like approaching humans and are more or less terrified by the presence of a human. Bites usually occur when they end up being basically right on a human, eg due to being in a shoe or in a bed and the human's skin meets the recluse, and it isn't happy then. They hide and don't actively approach human's to bite.

The males are less poisoness than the females and I've never heard of anyone getting bit by a male, Especially me....Only young Widows on this end!!! Once Bitten Twice Shy!

Is OP dead yet?

I hereby preemptively award OP and OP's wife the Darwin Award for their selfless contribution to natural selection in the human species.

Well one hatched anyway
I'll keep track on how long it takes them to turn black and get the markings.

So at what point do you set them all on fire?

Never!
I'll let some of them loose in my garage and some outside later this year.

You trying to maximize your chances at getting a lethal black widow bite?

Place your bets on how long it'll take before the black widows kill the OP. I give it 2 weeks.

Give me a break

Most of you don't like spiders, so be it (run away run away), but it's not like I'm going about this like I've never done it.

I've had Tarantulas, Iguanas, Scorpions, Harvester Ants (that actually sting, not just bite), Praying Mantis/Mantids. Oh, I also harvested Lacewings to put on my pepper plants to kill the aphids ;)

Goodness.. black widows. And babies too! You're so gonna get eaten alive... the babies will crawl through all your orifices while you sleep.
