I'm thinking about getting a spoiler for my car. Nothing fancy, nothing gaudy. I saw a blue car with a black spoiler and thought it looked pretty awesome, so it has me tempted to do the same. I already have black tinted windows, and I'm getting a black front lip for the car.

I think it would look fine with the car as long as you have a little more black to accent it with, the move with the black lip would be a good start!

Isn't that car FWD? Why the spoiler? :hmm:

Also, I think it'll look fine. Not something I would ever do but if I saw it on the road or in a parking lot I wouldn't think anything negative about it.

Yea, I'm thinking

Front Black Accent - lower lip
Mid Black Accent - tinted windows
Back Black Accent - spoiler

I'm def thinking of a conservative spoiler. no big wings or anything stupid.

My 9 year old Maxima has a spoiler. Lots of wrong wheel drive cars have spoilers.

Need more down force on the non-traction wheels.

just giving you crap.
a small black spoiler will look good. I love deep blue as a color on cars. If you are going to have it painted anyway, why not just do body color?

Not sure if I will have it painted... Plus I have a local body shop that would paint it black for next to nothing.

This one looks nice.

That's what I'm thinking. I was even thinking about that one, and having it carbon wrapped or something. I just don't want a stock blue spoiler.

I'm not going to go crazy, but I am eventually going to lower it about 1" and get some nicer wheels so it has a nicer stance. I think the contrasting spoiler would be subtle w/o being tacky.

Don't carbon wrap. That would be tacky. just paint it flat black. smoke the taillights a bit to accent it and it'll look good.

I've always preferred the chip foose modification philosophy: if someone looks at the car and says "that car looks great! but what did you do to it?" then you've done it right. in other words, if you make the mods blaringly obviuos then it'll look like crap. especially on a kia.

Woot woot! That's what you need. :)

Black would look good; I'm leaning towards flat, but gloss would look good too.

99% of the time, the aftermarket lip is going to be just flat black plastic, unless you get it painted yourself. If he were to get a spoiler i highly recommend the spoiler to be flat black as well, or else it'll look tacky for sure.

Don't put black accents on your lips

Makes you lose any effect they were giving you and looks cheap

Keeping your small lip spoiler black is a fine touch
